David Cameron announced £2.5m in grants would be made available over the next two and a half years, with almost £300,000 of funding distributed to acts so far. Melt Yourself Down, Filthy Boy, Afrikan Boy, Holy Mountain, George Benjamin, Fred V & Grafix, Public Service Broadcasting, the Crookes, the Temperance Movement and Throwing Snow were the other recipients announced last week.
