spotted one of these ..

decided i wanted one and it would sit in the mic xlr on my pioneer and shed a bit of light on the situation.
however it says - cannot be used in xlr mic port.. what a shitter!
anyway .. anyone know if this is bollocks and will it work in there or is there any avaliable that work in the mic xlr port?
i could just get another lamp of some sort but id like one of these preferably!
