Good Shepherd- Stranger Things EP (Offworld131)

Good shepherd is a rising star within drum and bass as a producer and DJ. His tracks reflect his long standing love for 90s drum and bass and also his love for 80s synth pop and hip hop.
His debut EP for Offworld offers a fresh take on contemporary drum and bass, all with a nostalgic synthwave twist.
The EP opens with the title track, Stranger Things, which sets the tone with a lush, atmospheric pad and a captivating arpeggio. As the track progresses, a warm bassline is introduced, leading to a sweet, dynamic switch-up that keeps things evolving.
Next, New Transcendence brings an infectious burst of positive energy, with catchy riffs and vibrant synth layers that build throughout the track. A series of evolving breaks and synths adds even more depth and variation to this high-energy tune.
In the Darkness continues the journey, this time in collaboration with Secret Structures. The track starts with rolling drums and subtle synths before transitioning into a deeper bassline and a slightly darker, more atmospheric tone..
Closing out the EP is When I’m With You, a track that perfectly captures the essence of synthwave. Gated pads and shimmering riffs give way to emotive portamento leads, adding a rich, nostalgic flavor to the mix.
