Right, I've got a gig on Friday.

Well to be precise, I'm promoting a fairly important gig. I'm also down as a dj. The line-up is mostly liquid, with one of the major Polish producers/dj headlining along with a great female singer/mc.

Thing is... I've got no frigging inspiration. I haven't been hitting the records stores, real or digital for too long and I haven't got anything new. Plus I haven't done any real mixing since February.

I need a couple of suggestions for liquid or jump up tunes that will get me inspired for Friday... or I'll just pass on playing at the gig and instead enjoy the djs.

Oh and by jump up - NOT Hazard coz his wobble is getting at me and not TC. Its a pity Digital Soundboy is not releasing anything new.

shock one - further away (logistics remix) / zyon base - simple man
redeyes - hold tight / soul brother

Stray is cool. Might inspire me - oh and the Bachelors of Science tracks are quality. Keep em up.

Worst thing is that I'm feeling ragga jungle vibes more currently :( Then again a good sound system plus some whiskey will get me going anyway.

Shogun Assasins 4 EP - sick on another level.
Zero T remix of mos def panties
Kiss kiss bang bang - high contrast.

check the new visionary releases, skylarking (and especially side b, fucking choon!!) and ganja fire majistrate rmx - both quality.

the new panik promo is sick too, some nice ragga vibes in there.

hm, check round records 004 aswell, 2 big tunes on there.

kay keith promoed some new ragga tune aswell if i remember right.

and if u havent already, check baron blinking with fists/turn up the sun!

thats about it, have fun ;)

cmon man, if ur not searching and jumping to find new tunes u shuldnt be playing the set! get off ur ass and get searching ;) makes for more enjoyment when u find new release u love and play them out.

get some survival, the logistics lp, there are some pretty deep kryptic minds and leon switch tunes. trei and dose are coming with some sweet tracks as well. basically go for the deep but not too liquid vibe would be my advice* (fuck, can't believe i'm giving dustek advice)

Considering the fact that I work 9 hours a day, have a new kid, too many friends and a shit load of other commitments, I haven't had the time to check out the current state of the scene. SITTING on my ass I am not.
