Unfortunately it looks like the Traktor Scratch Pro is being discontinued. Lots of sites are selling them half price (£259) so it's worth buying if you're interested.

Does this suggest a lack of quality if they are being discontinued so quickly? Or perhaps a new version?
I'm going down this route soon so a heads up would be good!

nah its just a sale they've got going on, they're not being discontinued...at least, i don't think they are. and i know loads of people who use traktor so i don't think they'll discontinue it any time soon.
