Mate. I work in Debenhams and there is no way that I could tell that it was a scam. I'd just refund them, I bet you over christmas, that'll happen a lot.

I hope I dont get fired :teeth:

Must say one thing though. I wouldn't do it in ANY clothes stores. I went in the Debehams security room the other day and they have some one CONSTANTLY sitting, looking at all of the monitors. And no one is allowed to talk to that person whilst they are sitting there, they are shit hot on security in most places now.

Personally. I wouldn't risk it. It's really not worth the consiquences. And I wouldn't want to risk my lovely clean goverment security clearence that I have on me cv :teeth:

Those real hustle scams are so staged.. they always go in looking suspicious as fuck.

Wouldn't it be easier and safer to take the items home and come back the next day with the reciept?

i knew a guy that did this for a while years ago.

I think retailers are a little more privy to this scam these days.

I have stolen things, and some times you get away. And sometimes you don't. But you need to ask yourself this... IS IT REALLY WORTH IT.

Getting busted in a heist for 1 million is worth the risk, getting busted for stealing a low value item, or even a couple hundred is just not worth it.

wat gets me is this ..

the real hustle has been on for i dunno ..

5 years lets say , now i rekon everyone on this forum knows who that bloke with the black hair is. so when they walk into a shop/club/bar/casino/ .. and no-one recognises them ... wtf ??

bullshit.. theres going to be at least 5 out of 30 people in a bar who recognises them.. but they all act innocent.. also the camera team following them about probs looks abit suspect..:rinsed:

i work in retail, theres no reason why this wouldnt work. and im on the ball with scams.

ive been scammed 2 times at work, and i caught them out both times, 1 dealt with by the police. hed been scamming shops all day, and then came in and got served by me. He was basically doing some derren brown style shit, n tryed conning me with with a 50 note, so you end up giving him the 50 note back plus the change for the item he bought, was really clever how he was doing it, unfortunaltly for him Im not a idiot haha he had done something like 8 stores that day, not a bad days earning tbh.

theres a group of blokes in our area trying this one.

they give you a 50 then say oh can i swap it for something smaller, then give you an amount back and basically muddle you up completely and you end up giving them more.
glad to hear you caught them out thought, where i work that 50 quid would come out my wage.. if i lost it

i had a mate who used to do something similar... except he would pick up old reciepts people had dropped outside the shop and then go in and claim the goods back.
