yo,

i'm buying 2x gemini xl500 mk 2 from slimbo011 (forum user)

i need some feedback. are they good turntables? he sent me 2 pics and they look in nice condition

he's selling both for 80 pounds, and I have to pay travel fees, so since it's heavy, which makes the total 150 pounds for both decks and travel

i'm pretty much a beginner who has never dealt with vinyl

the tables are direct drive, s-shaped (not much into scratching tbh)

I've used some (my mate had a pair) they were quite powerful and had good pitch response but were a bit fiddly speeding them up using the platter (Had to be very gentle in comparison to slowing the deck or using technics). Slowing down seemed ok though. That doesn't matter if you learn to do speed using the pitch alone.

Good decks to learn on (I learned on a combination of them 1210's and Citronic PD1's)
