Anything by Rufus Thomas or the Meters should keep you going for a long time....

The best funk set I've heard that's *ahem* available on the net is Brainfreeze Breaks by DJ Shadow. Propa wicked!

Well my first choice is Sly and The Family Stone. There's a Riot Going On and Fresh are their best two albums.

    Check those two albums out.

I'll hit you up with more stuff on the weekend, in work at the moment so can't really. Remind me on facebook on sunday if I haven't.

    Safe.

If you got iTunes download black markte funk, they play a lot of decent funk on that. Or i think its on http://podcast.com/. And are the Ohio Players funk? They're still go anyway.

i've been loving the funk and disco beats lately. homebreakin records, punch out, good groove, jalepeno, bomb strikes, funk weapons, etc.

this is a bit more funky midtempo breaks stuff around 100-110 bpm, but its nice to listen to stuff outside the box.
