fucked needles?

i got a problem with one of my needles and i was wondering if any of u could help me out and tell me how to fix it...

when i pick the needle arm up theres tonnes of feedback coming through the speakers, it goes if i shake it a couple of times but i'm pretty sure thats not normal, anyone know wots up? safe.

p.s. just reading that back, i apologise for the innuendos.
