TAL has a couple excellent free reverb plugins.

This. TAL reverb is awesome.

And for something a little outta the box for distortion try a little known free plug named "Distroyr" very under rated and very good distortion unit http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?id=551

yeah man, it became my standard reverb for about everything in no time. lots of people can hardly distinguish between this and a true high value hardware reverb, and it's free as well. goodness!
and yeah, TAL reverb is excellent as well but epicverb does the job in almost any case.

I like TAL, cause I can get it for the mac. Getting a bit bummed out to the point I might have to throw down and buy a PC based laptop, from the abundance of cool free stuff that you can utilise!

We should have a free stuff sticky IMO
