SMOOTH, NC-17 & NUSENSE – ‘UNDERWATER’
***FREE DOWNLOAD***

With the release of Viper Recordings Drum & Bass Summer Slammers 2010 right around the corner, we are giving away an exclusive FREE track as a special sneak preview of what you can expect from this years hottest drum & bass compilation. ‘Underwater’ sees new Viper signing Smooth team up with NC-17 & Nusense for an uplifting liquid roller with summer vibes written all over it!

First featured in Futurebound’s ‘Acts of Mad Men’ mix CD, and having recently been featured on Pendulum’s BBC Radio1 Essential Mix, ‘Underwater’ is receiving play from some of the scenes top DJs such as Futurebound, El Hornet, Danny Byrd, Nu:Tone, and many more!

Smooth is Viper Recordings latest signing. With his first release, Under The Moon’ featured on Viper’s ‘Acts of Mad Men’ album, Smooth released his first 12” this year on Viper VIP with ‘7th Sense’ / ‘Squirm’. He is also one half of Telekinesis who recently made their debut on Breed 12 Inch label, as well as one third of City of Dogs, whose track ‘Absolutely Flawless’ was featured on Pendulum’s Radio1 Essential Mix. Look out for Smooth’s debut EP on Viper in early 2011.

NC-17 are best known for their dark, techy Virus-style sound with big releases on Renegade Hardware, DSCI4, Mac II, and Proximity. NC-17 made their Viper debut alongside Nusense with ‘Just Heroes’ / ‘The Keep’ on Viper VIP. With ‘Underwater’, NC-17 turn in a more PG-13 effort with their first foray into uplifting liquid vibes. Also look out for ‘Micronaps’ with Telekinesis, forthcoming on SOM Music, as well as a 12” on Kenny Ken’s Mix ‘N Blen label. You can catch NC-17 each week on their Grindhouse Radio show broadcast Sunday nights on bassjunkees.com

Nusense hails from Canada and has quietly been adding to his arsenal of tunes with a consistent output on some of the top labels. With releases on Viper, Mac II, Vampire, Translation, Proximity, and Hustle Audio, Nusense is a name to keep your eye on. Having made his Viper debut alongside NC-17, the trio once again team up to make a triple threat which is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with.

‘Underwater’ will be available as a FREE track as of 9th Aug. 2010 on Drum & Bass Arena Download www.breakbeat.co.uk

Nice one Tim! Cheers for the heads up.

Any plans for another Viper night in the pipeline?
Not 100% sure what's going on with the next London night. It is very hard to do nights in London as it is by far the most spoiled city in the world when it comes to world-class lineups, and as you can see by the wave of clubs closing down in the last year, the numbers of people going out have dropped off drastically. We have a few things in the works though, so hopefully we will work something out soon.
