Christ, welcome back mate! Where have you been?

Christ, welcome back mate! Where have you been?

Well, life got pretty busy after I got a big corporate job, took up some other hobbies, etc. It didn't help any that I was having a hard time finding one piece of vinyl a month that I was in to (even amongst the promo's/tp's I was getting for free). I have continued to DJ the whole time, but drum and bass... not so much.

:borat:

I just recently realized that I was missing DnB (the music and community), so I dusted off my gear in the studio and started making some tunes again. When I posted the mix up on DOA, Indi gave me a firm reprimand, and here I am!

I knew it! What music are you into now? Your friend paramnisia among others converted me to techno. I made a pretty bad ass 1992 revival modern techno mix a few weeks ago. As soon as I import my old fonts over to my new drive I'll knock up some cover art and post it.

What are your "other" hobbies, I'm curious?

Borat is your other hobby? Does he have something to do with DOA? There was a moderator who had Borat's real name over there.

@ 1992 -

How's it going Steve? I'm not dead or in jail, so I hope you made a bet on it.

I just talked to Paramnesia (aka Lou Rawls - that's his real name believe it or not) on Friday, and we are planning on working on some music together in the near future. He's big into the psy/goa scene here in the US - not a huge fan myself, but I still rate him as my 2nd or 3rd favorite Techno DJ.

Of course I am stoked to listen to any 1992 mix - post it up! Are you planning on going to DEMF this year? I have been 2 of the last 3 years and had a blast.

My other hobbies over the last few years have been contributing to the open source security community, gambling (I made a nice second income with online poker, which is now illegal stateside), traveling, and making/playing non-DnB music (leftfield, rare groove, dub). Also, I have taken up volcanoing, but you will probably not be into that :O

Also, my dad got really sick for a while, which really consumed my time for obvious reasons. He's better now!

I checked the link to the mix, and it does work for me, but I know that these file hosting services are spotty at best for most people. I had a couple people offer me a re-host, so hopefully you can grab when they send me those links.

Hello back at you! I'm going great guns at the moment. Love that avatar!

As for your mix why not try www.megaupload.com? That seems to be the best one, I've uploaded stuff there before and it works better then yousendit.

I will try megaupload next time, or just shell out a few $$$ for some storage space of my own.

In the meantime, Double J from the-forum-who's-name-shall-not-be-said was nice enough to provide a rehost:

Yes, DEMF is a big party, but the amount of quality music coming out of quality sound systems makes it worth the trip.

I'm glad you noticed my post on DOA mate. Bare peoples were wondering what had happened to you, and nuff searches were tried. Good to see you've got your head screwed back on (Y)

DO YOU REALISE WHAT TIME IT IS, I'VE BEEN WORRIED SICK YOUNG MAN !!!!
