As far as I like Break as much as the next person who's not slagging him off and saying is sound is too samey, after a few more listens to the sampler.....

Keepin It Raw doesn't half bear some similarities to Modules, of which he had no involvement

And hearing Hip Punch in Alix's and Breaks recent promo mixes for their respective labels, doesn't half sound like a Break remix of Menacing Ways with that subtle hook if no one had told me otherwise



Liking the latter of the 2 on the sampler if I'm honest, but what's the betting the sampler is on the actual LP like the 10 Years of Symmetry? :teeth:

A lot of dnb is self referencing whether it's intentional or not. Especially techy stuff which revolves around hypnotic grooves.

Those DLR and Perez tunes themselves sound similar to older tunes from before they were made as well...

Basically if you want to find a similarity to an old tune in ANY new dnb tune, you'll probably be able to.

Break talked about the new LP with Ukf I believe and the sampler tunes won’t be on the album.
