We proudly welcome back one of our old friends, Receptor! The very talented young Russian producer has already released two tracks on Mainframe Recordings – First off, his track “Flash To Flash” has been on the flipside of Camo & Krooked’s famous single “Vision” (MFR002) – the second track “Cigarette Lighter” was featured on the “Together EP” with records by the likes of DisasZt, BTK, Ruckus Keepers and others.
And now we have a perfect comeback with a 2-track single: “Crossover/Okay”– A great mix between dark, and experimental.
“Crossover”, the single title track is marked by obscure bass lines, quick-fire percussion, striking breaks and finished up by MC Swift’s dusky vocals. The perfect combination for a dark neurofunk track!
On the flipside, “Okay” is a fresh piece of Drum & Bass, influenced by the unique experimental production skills, which Receptor has accomplished during his astonishing career.

Dorian, one of the Mainframe Recordings Soldiers, steps up in the game and celebrates his single debut with “Stresstest/Fluid Sound” on the label.
After numerous features on compilations from different labels such as the Mainframe Soldiers Volume 3 & “The Final Chapter” – the brilliant young producer released the “Unknown EP” on New Playaz – the sister label of DJ Hype’s label Playaz.
With this new single, Dorian delivers us two masterpieces, showing off his signature sounds which he has accomplished during the last years.
“Stresstest”, the A-Side, is an aggressive, yet epic track. Driven by tightly snapping kicks, and being hit repeatedly by pounding subs – the young Austrian talent definitely gives us a touch of his unique style.
However, Dorian delivers us the complete opposite with “Fluid Sound”, the B-Side of this marvellous release. A melodic & powerful track marked by a combination of chilly percussion and striking note progressions. This is the perfect record to kick off the summer!

DubApe, one outstanding, peculiar artist of the Mainframe family does for sure stand for himself releasing two highly energetic tracks with such a grip no one can leave them unnoticed.
This time he moved away from the more deepspace chillout music to making cyber punkesque neurofunk tracks.
Zero Point featuring Deafblind forces your heart to follow its lead. The frequent pauses and the high notes mixed with low base perfectly indicate the quantum vacuum zero point energy. Everything starts here.
AI is definitely a robotic track, full of mind-crashing riffs that give you a post apocalyptic, endof-
the-world-but-we-need-to-keep-going feeling.

TR Tactics is back with their signature powerful sounds and iconic neuro-sounding drum and bass. Renewing their style the well-known Austrian duo is providing us with two tracks where everything is in place.

Illuminate is a track that either makes you run and run fast or it makes you lose your mind on the dance floor, either way you can’t sit calmly when it is blasting in your ears. The clean riffs and hard-hitting drums make this track the forerunner of neu-neuro, which would be a more popular family to the old neuro sounds. Illuminate juxtaposes the traditional sound design of neuro and a more minimalist build-up that makes it flow unstoppably.

Dark Universe on the other hand –nomen est omen- is more classical in the neurofunk sense, it takes us deep into the void, the non-observable, the mysterious. The drums are massive and the track nicely incorporates some techno vibe. The lengthened notes let the listener lose total control.

I can see Milla Jovovich’s determined face going against zombies, outnumbered… Total Resident Evil vibe.

"Darpa is a newcomer to our team, two very talented guys from Hungary, bringing a very unique, alternative, energetic sound into the scene.

The symptoms include heavy breathing, goose bumps, fidgeting legs and the immediate widening of pupils.
The rules are simple…. Everyone dies!

The track nicely plays with an aligned set of drums, unique harsh stabs and eerie high-octane synths, but the real effect cannot be described in terms of drums and kicks.

Night King is an intriguing drum-funk-neuro mixture with a low base and heavy drums, creating trouble …he is coming...The Night King. The intro is scary, the track is dark and the beat is jungly enough to bring about the perfect vibe that transports you to the Haunted Forest and the Land of Always Winter…The Night King has found you…the only question is: Can you wake up from the dream?

These two tracks, although not the same pace, gender, style, go along really well with each other, one makes the other even stronger."
