Summary:
Influence is celebrating success once again after a strong re-launch and their first single in five years (Fort Knox Vol 1 – Specific), receiving 8/10 in Mixmag and strong support from a range of A-List DJ’s and international radio stations.

Two months later, we are back with more quality controlled musical goodness with Fort Knox Vol 2. The second in a series of three – we venture back into Aaron Jay’s digital vaults to bring you two sublime cuts of drum and bass; ‘In The Middle’ and ‘Robot Fight’ by the very talented Atom.
Vol 2 is a single that was originally signed back in 2009. An unsung hero, Atom delivers deep, diverse, clean sounding and high quality drum and bass. He has had previous releases on labels such as Sonorous Music, Phunkfiction Recordings and Inside Recordings (sister label to the impressive Horizons Music). Focusing on a more synth style drum and bass rather than sample based, his sound is comparable with the more Detroit Techno style as championed by Marcus Intalex, Commix and Martyn.

In The Middle (A Side): Instantly drawing you in with defined beats and effects, you know that In The Middle is going to be a strong tune. When the bassline drops, you are drawn in further to this deep rolling, brooding piece of drum and bass. The progressive nature of this track unveils more surprises as you are then introduced to the splashes of Detroit synths that really help to define this tune. Those that are aware of Marcus Intalex's work will hear his influence in this music. Supported by the likes of Spectrasoul, Lynx, Tokyo Prose and Aaron Jay.

Robot Fight (B Side): This tune starts off with its shuffling off beat and subtle pads that keeps the listener engaged from the off. Then you are hit with that bassline that turns this into a moody roller of a tune. Atom sprinkles in his quirky sci-fi effects that he does so well and makes this a perfect flip to the A-side. Supported by Marcus Intalex, Tokyo Prose, Fabio and Aaron Jay.

Stay locked to Influence Records for more forthcoming releases as part of ‘The Fort Knox’ series from Lynx, Aaron Jay and Flaco.
