Followers fluctuating on soundcloud

I get batches of a few followers but by the next day or 2 it goes back down. Sometimes it will initially say the updated figure for a split second when loading the page then go back down to what it was a few days ago. Are these people bots? Sometimes they have a fair few followers so not sure what it is really.

I have noticed this before, they follow me and then like the top track on my feed and then disappear a few days later. Seems to be people advertising links to sites that sell Soundcloud Followers, plays, likes and re-posts etc.

yep this is what it is.. Lots of fake profiles that get banned daily!

The sex ads on soundcloud lately have kept me and my colleagues pretty amused at the absurdity of them.
