FL Studio help

So I'm trying to learn how to make tunes. Two questions: Some of the sample won't play after I hit random buttons and the like. How do I restore settings? Also, if I have multiple patterns in the playlist, how do I play all of them at once to see how it sounds?

to hear all the patterns change from pattern to song and hit play.

but first you have to "paint" them into your playlist...
Restore Settins is Edit --> Undo but this doesn't work if you already safed.... what you can do is simply open a new project and start of new... but that is like the last thing to do^^

What exactly do you mean by "hit random buttons and the like" ?
