FL problem

Ive come across this problem before using fl studio8, and never really figured out a fix.

basically, when i have say a deep bass playing, and its quite loud, i cant have anything over it such as a drum beat. the drum beat gets quitened down when both are playing at the same time.

is there any way to fix this? thanks

well its because the bass is taking up all the room in the track, so you need to make room for the drum beat, either by adjusting the levels so that there is space for the drums or using sidechaining or s similar technique to make room when a drum hits.

turn off the default limiter on the master

dont really think its sidechaing your looking for jus a bit of eq'ing should do the trick. are you using monitors or good headphones. if your using either bad spaekers or shit phones then its guna be a bit shit to eq.
