When I select a channel in the mixer it sounds twice as loud all of a sudden..

Which key did I accidentally hit / my cats purposely step on this time?

Sounds like you've got something boosting the signal on the 'selected' channel. As the name suggests, any effect applied to the selected channel will be applied to the channel you've.. selected.

Don't think this has got to do with routing, it happens whenever I click on a mixer channel; that particular channel is like doubled in volume.. Whenever I highlight a different channel the problem instantly migrates to that one...

Ah sorry maybe I could've explained better. I didn't mean the effect is on the channel you've clicked on, I meant the channel that is actually called 'selected' by default in the mixer. It's next to the 4 sends at the right end of the mixer and is separate from the other 99 channels. You were probably doing something on the master and accidentally mouse scrolled up to the selected channel.
