Returning to Offworld Recordings with a solo effort is Norway's own Fishy. Straight out of the gates is Frozen Bottle which is highlighted by a wobbly bassline and accentuated with a plucky melody and otherworldly atmospheres. A beautiful start to an exceptional EP. Somber chords and floating vocals begin the journey that is Mountain Ridge. This song continues with a straight-forward yet solid core beneath evolving flourishes of synths and spacious sounds. The sparse and haunting Obscure Spider showcases Fishy's ability to step away from conventional melodic drum and bass and make a foray into a creepy yet inviting world. Arachnophobes beware! Closing things out in proper fashion is Prism. An enigmatic intro sets the stage for this soulful and sexy stepper. As Prism unfolds it's mysteries the listener is treated to melting arpeggios, pulsing bass and tight percussion. Offworld and Fishy have teamed up to deliver something very special here with a collection of songs to delight for years.
