Firefox (aka Roni Size) - Keep It Raw [Philly Blunt]

It's good, can remember Bryan G and Serum dropping this tune 5/6 years ago though.

Kind of lost its edge because it went well in sets with other similar tunes from the same time; Punks remix, Snakefist etc

Yeah we've got one more single and then the album. There'll be a mix CD, a big bundle of mp3s and a vinyl box set that'll make a nice Christmas present for any of you collectors.

I'm really happy to see Keep it Raw come out finally, it was one of those tunes I've been playing for so long and had so many people asking about that it would be criminal not to have it as part of the album.

The mix I'd been playing before was a rough mix that might never have got finished!

How longs Roni been called Firefox ?

I was going to say I heard this yearsssss ago. Bassman & Trigga over it, Like wow. Not to keen on the change up though 35 secs into the clip its all about that drop! Classic Roni, Goin inn

Track is a perfect example of how id like Jump Up to sound.

He's had the Firefox alias since the mid 90's.

Released some stone cold classics on Philly Blunt under that alias.

who is it / back out dis - serious personal fav.
not forgetting warning & buck rogers either.

Is it unusual for an artist to sit on tunes for like 5 years?

Not really but Roni has so many amazing tunes that never came out. I remember hearing Bryan Gee playing about 3 hours of unreleased tunes of his from different eras and not even scratching the surface. They all sounded fresh too.

Yeah from listening to the V podcasts I know Bryan's always sitting on a hoard of tunes, you'd always be scratching your head like "who's this?" he first introduced me to all of the brazilian crowd, all of your Level 2's, DJ Chap's etc. The guy's clearly got an ear for talent snm.

That quarterpounder bass remix is fire by the way bro, look forward to see that tearing it in the rave!
