Fender Jazz Bass problem.

Hello!
I bought an American made Fender JBass last month and it worked just wonderfully until now... Everytime i connect my finger to a string, a "click" sound made. I have no idea what could cause this. Maybe the cable?
An instrument in that price class shouldnt make unpleasant sounds like that...
Can anybody help me?!

I think you might have got the wrong sort of website for that kinda Bass...
This is Dum & Bass as in the urban dance music genre!

But at a guess, yeah try changing the cable... sounds like it could be that kinda problem
