fell out of love with dnb

Ive been avoiding this thread for awhile now but its time to face the facts. I will never fall out of love with dnb ive been in it for to long over 15 years now but times have changed and i dont feel its changed for the better. Id say the best period for me was about 1998-2001.

Dj's who wont get their sets recorded
These new sounds every producer is trying to achieve
To many shit tracks getting released
Big hit tracks only being around for a couple of months at the most then forgotten
Laptop djs
LIVE shows
Vinyl coming to an end
Commercial dnb

The list goes on i just hope things dont get any worse.

i mean in the sense that the bands don't evolve, the music as a whole has considerably, but the bands often remain making the same tosh for the whole of their career too afraid to switch it up a bit. with DnB, MOST of the artists are always willing to explore new ground, even if it's ground no one has dared touch before.

I know its a bit of a bait one but listen to Slipknots self titled album and listen to their latest one. Its completely different.

Same with Mudvayne. LD50 is different to all their other albums.
