Faulty tone arm on 1200 mk2?

New decks have just arrived and on one of the decks the tone arm wont sit on the vinyl and just scates back to orignal position... have i got it set wrong or is it fooked?

i have a prob with my tone arm too, it feels very slighty stiff and when it gets half way through a record it stays in the same place and jumps

you know how if you put the needle on a blank sided vinyl it should skid straight to the middle... well this one dont it stays where you drop it

also the audio sounds distorted

any ideas people??? im thinking im gonna have to replace the tone arm mechanism

It's supposed to stay where it is, not go to the middle. If it's set up correctly, that is
