Here we go! A new episode of B&B podcast.

A fairly colourful mixture of moods and vibes, going from one to another in a heartbeat, just like I like to do, mixing it all up.
It's mostly new music, some dubs in there, and I'm wrapping it up with a Lightless dub from Moresounds
Had a good caffeine rush on when I started so I had to down a beer in the middle of the set to calm down a bit (I recommend you enjoy bass music with coffee or beer, or both).

What do you think of the artwork? I'm pretty hyped. Done by Ingrid. That bear may have to watch those nails, though.

Breaks & Beats Podcast #10: ”Focus On The Drums”

This time, instead of going for more contemporary material, the podcasts focuses on wicked drumworks in D&B.
A lot of this stuff is old, and I wanted to include tunes from whom I consider to be among the masters of drumworks in D&B.
I've always been inspired a lot by Danny Breaks, early Dillinja, Source Direct (with all their aliases), Fracture & Neptune, Nucleus, Equinox, Seba, Klute...hats off to those guys and their beats.
Put a few humble efforts of mine in there, too, which largely pay homage to those who have inspired me.
There'll be more breaks-orientated podcasts coming.

I went lighter on the breaks this time, reason being the new Fanu album is dropping soon, which will most definitely make listeners overdose on drums and breaks for a while. After a half-year break (pun sort of intended), Breaks & Beats Podcast is here with episode 23.

Haven’t been making these as often as I used to, as an almost complete death of DJ booking demand has been discouraging (hey I still wanna DJ!), and I literally haven’t touched the decks for around a year (aside from sampling).
So, time to warm up – and this is a good way to contribute to my beloved culture anyways.
As always, I don’t plan these much, and I certainly don’t practice for mixtapes – it’s a spontaneous one-time performance like real DJ set, and that’s it!
Autumn’s here, which means this music works better than ever, and I sure as heck I’m fond of these types of vibes.
I did f**k up a bit but that’s what you get when you don’t (have a need to…) practice for a yera. But I guess it was an ok effort, considering. Afer recording this one, I actually felt I’d be warmed up for a better/tighter performance, but naaah, can’t do it twice.

There’s supposed to be two vinyl EPs full of this type vibes from myself still in 2019 as well as another digital EP w/ remixes.

chuck full of drum and bass thats so new, im not even sure what they are for genres sometimes. but theyre gooooooooood,
are you mixing vinyls or also mp3s on serato?

out of that tracklist ive heard of like four guys. tell me, is the bpm lower or is it just the programming on certain beats that makes it sound slower?

Oi thanks man!
Yeah, I try to mix a bit of this and that…nothing like starting a set with something mellow and different.
And it's mostly 80/160/170 BPM and a bit of pitch control.

I use Serato. Never got into any of the sync shit…I rock Technics…love them.
I was actually one of the first Serato-supported DNB guys, back in the days when they were looking for DNB dudes.
Was privileged to get to visit their head office on one of my US tours back then.
