External anaylizer?

Does anyone know of any? Are there any out there that can spectral analize/DB detect music in the form of mp3's, cd's playing through pc etc?

Yeah standalone.

I was gonna use one to try and pin down the general DB bass level of a bass using other tunes as references to give me a more clear idea of where the DB's should be hitting, aswell as other elements such as the kick drum.

from what ive resherched tho...a bass should be between the -11 db / -6db range. -6db being very loud.
sound about right?

yep. guessing the example was noisia - facade vip bass hits at -6db.
