Expanding studio, need help with jargon

So I'm looking to purchase a few bits and expand my studio beyond a laptop and headphones, but I just want to make sure what I'm planning to buy will suit my needs, as the spec can be difficult to understand and I'd rather be sure!

I want to buy the M-Audio Fast Track Pro 4 x 4 USB audio interface, but want to make sure that it can handle the following:

- Running active studio monitors (future purchase, am I right in thinking these would occupy two outputs?)
- Running a MIDI keyboard controller (buying with the interface)
- Running some kind of studio mic (possible future purchase)

Link here: http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/FastTrackPro.html

If somebody has or knows of the interface, or could click the link and browse over the spec, and let me know if it is capable of running the above, that would be really helpful!

Cheers.

It can do all that. Yes, monitors take 2 outputs but you could also connect them to a headphone out, though I wouldn't recommend it since a headphone out always carries a pre-amplified sound for the headphone drivers. It also has midi in/out. But most keyboards nowadays connect with USB so it's getting old. It has it's uses with external hardware though.
