So im planning an epic holiday and need some advice from those who are in the know.

for starters, if anyone knows of any useful websites that deal with accomodation, travel (trains/buses) and general sightseeing in europe, i'd really appreciate it if you could link us up.

im also trying to budget and i need some general idea of what travel, accomodation and food etc is going to cost.
i'll be staying in backpackers or bed and breakfasts- any idea what this is going to cost per day (in euros please)

and for anyone who has been to amsterdam, belgium, france, switzerland or italy- do you have any advice on must sees?

cheers for any help at all- even a small bit advice might make things easier for me

Exit Festival - 10-13 July, Novi Sad, Serbia. A couple of mates of mine went to this and said it was pretty good.

without being biased, if you're hitting europe and going on a backpacking/hostel mission is worth spending some time island hoping in the Aegean sea. Cyclades alone can offer great nightlife and some of the Mediterranean 's best beaches. And when that gets too much, jump over to Crete for Europe's best food. Just avoid Malia like the hell...
Prices generally aint cheap (not anymore at least thanks to the EU...),b ut you can spend as much or as little as you want, as theres always ways to thrift your way through greece.
If you'd be up for that, its much cheaper to book flights to greece from northern europe. Singles to Crete from the UK go for around 50 euro if you book it few months in advance.

Use the Rough Guides, they're the best. Cost - depends on what country. Unfortunately they'll all be expensive relative to Oz.

There is nothing to see in Belgium btw, visit Austria (Vienna) instead if you're doing Italy and Switzerland anyway.

Eastern Europe is cheaper than Western Europe obviously.
