@ Marky & S.P.Y - Love affair -> The flipside Last Night is also pretty huge! Dat bass

I'm just gonna post some of my personal favs at the moment, as I don't really know which tunes can be considered as "essential tune"... but I think you could probably call Lenzman - Open Page an essential for example.

you guys know the score, some incredible liquid already in this thread.

However, a liquid thread would not be complete without the mighty spectrasoul:

technimatic are also bringing out some of the best liquid Ive heard in years:

Etherwood has been grabbing my ear of late too:

the new medschool LP has some REALLY nice stuff on it.

not forgetting random movement here either:

Yeah Last Night is really good! I like all the above tunes you have posted but that LSB one in particular, nice one :)

if u mix all of the essential ones together you will have a mix of the same old tracks that everyone has done and overplayed before.
giving your mix no originality what-so-ever.

its like all the old skool mixes. most look really good on paper because its all the big tracks you know and love. but its dull... you have heard them all a thousand times before. the best old skool mixes are the ones when u hear a few great tracks you havent heard before.
it will be the same with putting a liquid mix together.
in my opinion you want the underated / hidden gems to make your mix more exciting.

@ Howitzer Yeah love that Spectrasoul tune! Prefer Sometimes We Lie though such a beauty. I like those that you posted too, Mirror Image sounds sick, I have Down Somehow thanks for posting.

Teddy I know what you mean you definitely make sense!

Jungle_Fever I will check those later I gotta get back to work...

Basically anything Phil Tangent or LSB have done. Also Phil's tunes aren't really wide spread, haven't noticed too many people playing them, which is a shame really, but work well in a way Teddy described. And it's also the case with this one, seems like that everyone's already forgot that one, such a beauty imo :)

yes, this thread is gold! Overdue is such an underplayed tune.

Found this guy the other day: Furi Anga

His latest albums got some fantastic minimal/liquid beats.

I was going to say "PM Dat U Dude, he knows tons of them", but I'm too late.

I'll post a few when I get home mate!

I am not good with specific songs, but I can tell someoe what to stay away from. Pretty much anything from Hospital, Soul R, and liquid V come to mind off the top of my head.

Say what you want about Hospital but they've put out some decent liquid off the top off my head:

Logistics - Everything is Illuminated, Transporter, Call me Back
High Contrast - Twighlist last Gleaming

All off Hospital, how can you say to stay away?!

I'm not a fan of any liquid.
