eq8 default low/high cut

Hey!

Just wondering, if I will use eq8 x4 slope on low/high cuts by default(I am in progress of building nice defaults and racks with macroses) with lowest/highest settings, will it affect anything? :p its like cutting below 40 and above 17k.
I guess it is okay on pretty much anything. Am I wrong?

It will be okay, but it will change the sound a bit. The low cut wont really be noticable but the high cut will. For the high cut i'd use a steady slope like x2, because it usually sounds better and wont affect the sound as much when its not being used.
