EOC News!! Our 2nd B'Day Celebration Sat 29 April @ Hidden

Time flies when you’re having fun …Essence of Chi, the only drum n bass promoters 100% dedicated to partying return to their South London roots to celebrate their Second Birthday on Saturday 29th April in London’s sexiest new venue, Hidden (formerly Studio 33) in Vauxhall.

Those of you who attended their first birthday event with London Zu at the Scala last year will remember that it was an absolute roadblock affair.
Over the last two years EOC has moved from a 12 month residency at Brixton’s Plan B, to its new monthly home at the infamous Herbal in Shoreditch, whilst also touring the country, putting on more sell-out events with London Zu, and hosting rooms for the very best in the business, notably Moondance on New Years Eve 2005 where they hosted the Liquid Funk arena, and the Baby Box at one of Ministry of Sound’s Switch events.

Their Second Birthday Celebration will feature three exciting arenas providing sounds form across the dance music spectrum:

The Purple Room is Essence of Chi, showcasing the perfect balance of drum n bass from jump up through to liquid funk brought to you by special guest djs Fabio, Bailey, Marcus Intalex alongside EOC regulars Kane, Artificial Intelligence, Sabre, T1 and The Healing Crew, whilst we welcome hosts IC3 and DRS, with Essence of Chi resident MCs LowQui, Five Alive and K-Eye.

Then through to the Red Room where are all genres of Old Skool are brought together under one roof in the form of Essence of Old Skool! Where else can you find Classic Old Skool Garage from Norris “Da Boss” Windross featuring MC Creed and Rose Windross on vocals, a “Speed” era set from Nookie alongside MC System, a “Back to the Blue Note” set from DJ Storm featuring MC Rage, Old Skool Hardcore from Moondance’s DJ Snypa, and an 88-91 Old Skool house set from none other than DJ Squirrel?! And if that’s not enough, the deepest jungle sounds will be provided by DJ’s Outlaw & Wize, Emtek and J Rolla with MCs Wrekka and Bassline on mic duties. The Essence of Old Skool arena is set to go off in style!

Finally bridging the gap will be the Blue Room which will host “Eclectic Essence”, where you will find all styles to tickle your fancy while you have a drink at the bar, chill in the exclusive VIP area or simply keep dancing. Take your pick from Deep House, Breaks, Hip Hop, RnB, Dubstep and Vocal drum n bass as the djs switch up their styles over the course of the evening. Look out for performances by Deekline, Q-Gritty (Slaughter Mob), Mel De’Vil (Healing Crew – Deep House set), Sparky, Madcap (Breaks set), Double J and DJ Hoopz.

Limited advance tickets are available for a TENNER, so start gettin your May Bank Holiday Weekend planned NOW to avoid disappointment, coz this will be the place to be!!
