My name is Ben, I'm 16, and interested in making drum 'n bass/sample based music.
My main interest right now is finding a piece of equipment that will help me make music, >~500$, and I've been seriously concidering the Kaoss Pad 3.
I've been seriously listening to electronic music for about a year and a half, artists like Aphex Twin/AFX, Plug, UNKLE, mu-ziq, Venetian Snares, Portishead,Tricky, LCD Soundsystem, Kid606, Kid Koala, and Prodigy.
I also listen to bands who include electronic music as a big part of their sound, like Enter Shikari, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Nine Inch Nails, Hadouken!, HORSE the Band, and Radiohead.
I signed up to this forum looking for help, and I intend on returning that help sevenfold to novices like myself once I get started.
