After reading gr1pez thread on him coming to the uk, i think we should share some things we like and hate about england.

    Ill start.

I love the football culture- banter at the stadiums (but not the hooliganism)
    Tea!

Drum & Bass every town and city you go to, seems more and more people are getting madder for it

Good other underground music scene (dubstep, grime etc)

okay the weather is fucking awful but i do love a good old summer day, its a rarity but its definatly a treat.

The babes, oh the babes. People always complain abou the british girls, but tbh i think they're much better that ay other country i have been to (7 or so)

i always find other countries abit plain (not being prejudice) just think england hasa good range of variety of culture

I HATE BNP - they are cunts

allow foreigners man, put yourself in teir shoes, i dont see why everyone hates them..wouldnt you do the same if you were in their situation, i hate judgements people make

    I love the festivalss!!!!!!!!!

can't think of many others as i am quite high and need to go to tesco to get a chocolate fudge brpwnie frijj

when i back i expect a decent amount of interesting posts.

I like the fields, the hiphop, London... erm... the huuuuuuuuuge DnB scene. We're fucking spoilt over here for nights.

    Our accents, erm.... Cornwall :D

I can't think of any more, but I'm sure there are tonnes

I think we should have a better national anthem tho. :)

    i hate:

    chavs,
    the food,
    the weather,
    the way women look,
    the pub/drinking culture,
the 1 hour sets big djs get,
    the over saturated club scene,
    the US imported litigation culture,
    the omnipotent red tape/bureaucracy,
how terribly money grabbing people and councils are,
how uninterested people are in politics and their communities well being

    i love:

    fish n chips,
    friendly police,
    the sense of humour,
the scents and colours of the british spring,
the available opportunities in the music industry,
the variety of cultures and races and how well integrated they are,
the fact that foreign residents have pretty much the same rights as everyone else

this is too broad a statement, unfortunately a lot of asylum seekers are nothing but pests to the honest tax payer and BNP actually make the situation worse by being so openly racist etc. understandably britain has needed foreign workers to become the diverse, cultural hotspot it is but i cannot accept this statement because of the trash the country has let in for far too long.

i work in housing and not for one second saying that we havent bred our own breed of housing/benefit system rats that abuse our country and have left in the shit hole it is today but still, the initial statement was too broad and wrong for me to not take issue with.

i'm a massive patriot. love england, the country's heritage and people but in recent years to quote many a idiot cab driver its gone to the dogs.

i too am a patriot of this country. This bought me some racist friends over the years, and some are supporters of bnp.

i however massively disagree with the bnp and their attitudes

and i will argue that diversity and immigration is imporant in this country. mayby we need more, or stricter moderation like australia for example. However ive travelled many parts of the world, especially africa-and not touristy bit either. and when you see how people live then you may realise why so many forieners try to get in here in the 1st place. i just have one request. Ill welcome you to my homeland if you come here with the best intentions for providing for your family in honesty and working hard. I would also say the same to the idiginous people of britain. get of your arse and work, stop the crime or get out.

I am very proud to be English, and I love my home. But I have got nothing good to say about it right now, and haven't for almost 6 years. There is nothing good about England, people always bang on like its still this promised land, this bountiful utopia, but its not and hasn't been for years.
