How many other people are doing this here? It may be fun when the real compo is over, and if enough people did a remix to have our own little critique. That is if it's ok with @blumarten and @Dark Lizardro
Just an Idea for some fun, plus I would love to hear what you guys did.

My remix is more or less finished, will submit it very soon, so yeah I'm down for that!

That's a great idea, Ivan. we should do this, definitely!

I've got something thats almost done. Struggling to get part of the piano to sound as good as the original

Consider that I'm not in this competition whatsoever and I didn't even listened to the music, first.

But if it was provided as midi, just think about velocity of the notes being played. If it was audio, I normally take the same approach with piano as with vocals: compression, reverb and some chorus as well.

It's All Audio. ^^^^

Weird question, does anybody listen to the original before they remix it? I really try not to hear the original track to try and come up with something on my own. Anybody have any thoughts to my opinion.

Basically agreed with this, I just went through the sounds so many times that I kinda forgot how the original sounded by the time I got to work

Steve helped with the notes lol... I was sitting trying to figure the bassline notes out and he just blurted them out. So once I had them I checked the song then basically played the notes on various instruments.

If the basslines is similar then the rest falls into place as a remix imo.
