ELECTRONOX 003 – XMAS SPECIAL ft. 2 Bit Thugs
The Gramaphone (60 Commercial St, E1 6LT)

Following on from the success of Electronox 001 and 002 the boys are back in the Gramaphone basement on Friday December 18th for another night of good-willed debauchery. So far we have managed to raise over £1500 for The Lily Foundation. Amazing! It is a fantastic cause researching and helping kids with cellular disease. http://www.thelilyfoundation.org.uk (Registered Charity 1122071)

Rocking the party will be:

2 BIT THUGS.
************************************************** **********
2 Bit Thugs smashed onto the emergent fidget/electro house scene in 2008 with their genre-crushing blend of shit-kicking beats, apocalyptic elastic bass lines and trademark hip hop influences. Never taking life too seriously their distinctive 'gangster house' sound received critical acclaim, support and hype from numerous international blogs, DJs and press; making them amongst the hottest producers & remixers in the scene right now. Always keen to stay one step ahead of the game the 2 Bit Thugs now bring their trademark style to all genres of music. Too hard to pigeonhole the pair have freed themselves of being tied to any scene, and their tracks range from Baltimore bangers through 2 step, to low-slung hip hop.

Now much in demand as DJs, the duo's full-throttle bass assaults have left dance floors nationwide drooling. Never afraid to push the music they love, regardless of pigeon holes, the pair bring a raw energy to their DJ sets – mashing up womping and wobbling basslines from drum and bass to house, from hip hop to garage, baltimore to dubstep - all blended with quick mixing and super sick edits.

2009 has seen a packed release schedule with tracks and remixes with Atomic Hooligan, Stupid Fresh, DJ Deekline, The Bulgarian, Calvertron, B Rich, Rico Tubbs, The Death Set and Kelevra to name a few. The 2 Bit Thugs discography is growing rapidly, with labels worldwide clambering for a slice of the Thuggery. When not spending their time remixing some of the scene's hottest names the Thugs are in the studio working on a full artist album that promises to be a blend of styles from lush, string-laden downtempo through grime, house, rock, drum and bass and beyond.

DJ PEPPER
************************************************** *********
Hailing from south London Sam Pepper is a hyperactive dj that has an excitable passion for music. Playing an energetic mix of jump up electro, disco grooves and heavy basslines he is rapidly becoming one of the hottest up and coming djs on the club circuit.

Having already played out big festival sets at Snowbombing, Bestival, Get loaded, and Lovebox and supported artists such as Pendulum, Filthy dukes, Jaymo, Deepgroove, Alex metric and Grum, Sam Pepper has recently won a place supporting Radio 1’s Kissy Sell Out on his Kissy and ko UK Tour.

On support will be Bobby Love, with your hosts for the night Tomas Por Culo & Monsieur Coatez wobbling the floors as ever with a varied mix of electro, fidget, dubstep, breaks & dnb all in aid of The Lily Foundation.
