Eerie horror movie sound

Easy! Anyone know where i can get hold of that high pitched squeeky, whiney sound thats always used in horror movies?

Strettttcccchhhhh, pitch, reverb, delay, fx etc etc. Play with some audio clips until they're really messed up and un-natural sounding. I reckon the un-natural bit gives the spookiness.

This is what id recommend. get some decent fx like hits lasers and ambient noise. and then process process process.
But what was said before, NI absynth is good for eerie sounds.
