Earphone help?

Ive just got a new MP3 player and am looking for some decent earphones or earphone add ons to block out ambient noise. For example I want to be able to use them on the tube without putting the volume full blast and it still sounding shit. I was looking at the Sennheiser CX300's.
Any other recomendations/ personal experiences?

yeah id go for the cx300's. brilliant earphones; background noise is virtually non existent and the bass is better than most phones ive ever used, especially at that price

nate theres only one brand of headphones you need to look at when you want in ear phones get a set of SURE phones mate i tested all the usual suspects senneys, sonys you name it the lot and none sounded as nice as the sure's i got they block out every noise and you get a load of different ear buds to fit you ear so there really tight even the cheapest set sound sick
