I was thinking of investing in some ear plugs They are £165 and made from a moulding of you inner ear. Has anyone used them, got any reviews on them. Can you dj with the in??? Thanks for your help
I'd like to get some custom molded ones, let me know if you find a place locally (Hampshire area) that does it. I believe many Dj's (Andy C, Pendulum etc.) all use these ~£165 ear plugs for Djing, I'd like to do the same myself!I was thinking of investing in some ear plugs They are £165 and made from a moulding of you inner ear. Ah sweet! Perfect. Nice find mate.Cheers for ur posts, very helpful. I had a quick look on the web a theres a article on I-DJ magazine. http://www.i-dj.co.uk/reviews/reviewspage.php?ID=149From this I found the company which supplies them ACS http://www.hearingprotection.co.uk/, apparently you can go to an opticians to get the ear moulds the two which are in portsmouth and can cater for this are:
Specsavers Hearcare 205 Commercial Road Portsmouth 02392 296 959
Portsea Island Opticians 158-160 London Rd Portsmouth 023 9266 4004
I hope this is helpful. Definitaly worth the money I think, just as important as your headphones . . . wouldn't leave home without them! (once I get them)

Might give them a call when I've got some spare cash.
Let us know how you get on if you go ahead with it.
I bought the non-custom ear plugs to try. These where brilliant I can dj with them in, and there good for work, however there a so uncomfortable I can't bear to wear them ...... now i know the filter's work though i have just ordered a custom set. Keep you posted on how it goes anyway.
Excellent mate! Thanks for keeping us informed so far! I didn't know you would need to have your ears checked, makes sense though. How much extra was the fast track on your order? The balls rolling now. I had to get my ears checked out by my GP to ensure that I do not have a wax build-up which would result in a misprint of my inner ear. I have got the appointment booked for the imprints to be taken on Tuesday so I will keep you posted. Usually it will take up to six weeks for the plug to come back to me but I have payed extra to fast track my order which means I should have my plugs by next Friday, which is handy as I am doing a small event that day. I only have a 1.6kw sound system so doesn't compare to big club set-ups but I will let you know how the fair on the night.
How much extra was the fast track on your order?
So the total was ~£195?It was an extra £30 so makes them even more pricey, but i figure sooner the better. 6 weeks is a long time!!

How are you getting on with the plugs mate? Have you tried them in a club yet?Got the plugs now .... fit perfect. At first I though they weren't in far enough because i couldn't feel them so I was trying to push the in further but the wouldn't go ... then i realised that the might be in anyway so I slammed my decks up to test them out and I am very impress ... I havn't worn them out yet but I could see wearing these all night would be no problem, I recon i'd probably end up sleeping with them in as at the end of a good night i probably forget that there even in!! Few problems with AAC the company I bought them from .... I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM WHATSOEVER PLEASE IF YOU ARE GOING TO BUY THEM GET THEM STRAIGHT FROM SPECSAVERS THEY DO THEM FOR EXACTLY THE SAME PRICE AND YOU HAVE TO GO THERE TO GET YOUR EAR IMPRESSIONS ANYWAY!!!!!!

I think I'm going to order some this month.
Safe mate, will ring up soon and see what they're saying. The work very well. It is odd cause i kept trying to push them in further as because i dont feel them in, it feels like there not in properly, but really they fit so well you can't feel them. when you leave is when you realise how good they are. Walking down the road with your mates shouting because they can't even hear properly. Good if you got to get up for work the next day aswell, cause I can never sleep with ringing ears.
Audio wise you get a much clearer sound without the harshness. I would definatley reccomend them.
COSHH, any further comments on your plugs?
Also, which ones did you get? I "hear" (ha) ER9 and ER15 are the top two choices.
