well, if you need cracks you can download from www.astalavista.box.sk (There are more popup porn then cracks, but there are cracks too) :)))

Yeah it'll be locked but you can get software that bypasses it. I've used the demo of Slysoft AnyDVD, and it works real good. If you know the make and model of your drive, you may also wanna have a look around to see if you can do a firmware uptdate to make your particular drive region free.

I'd avoid astalvista.box.sk, especially if you use Internet Explorer. Lots of ActiveX shit on there that'll install diallers and spy/malware. And nothing that'll region hack your DVD drive as far as I'm aware.

I used 'DVD Genie' years ago, I swear that did the trick with regions. I just Google'd it and found these links:

    http://www.inmatrix.com/files/dvdgenie_download.shtml
    http://www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-free.htm

I have AnyDVD running now, not had any problems recently (y)

Like Josh said though, firmware might be your best bet at this stage.

Yeah I would imagine having something like AnyDVD along with another package may cause issues.

Another good site is: http://www.videohelp.com (y)
