Dusty vinyls

My vinyls are literally covered in dust and cat hair :lol: i've ignored it up until now but it just got too much for me today so i had ago at one or two with a duster and all it did was statically charge the vinyl so they picked up even more dust and cat hair :lol: please may one of you wise old chaps/ladies tell me the best way to deal with this irksome problem?
 
someone posted in another thread that luke warm water with a couple of drops of fairy liquid then rinse with cold water, it sounds feasable to me, i was gonna try it this weekend.

works and get an anti static brush

Yeah that was me - it works way better and is way cheaper than any specialist cleaning products

I usually try not to get the centre paper wet as I don't want the glue to come off but doesn't really matter if you get a couple of splashes on there, they dry out OK...
 
no soapy water dosn't work
what you need is a razor, and slowly glide it in a straight line over the record, should get rid of the fluff and cat hair for you

Soapy water followed by Ronson lighter fluid, its a degreaser and a great anti-static. Just make sure to leave them to dry properly before playing them.

yeah this works i work with vinyl everyday packing and sending them gota make sure there clean etc etc i use soap and luke warm water and it works fine for me and my custem
