Drumstep

well yeah once and for all. When Amit, Randomer, Tech Itch, Klute etc. did this with their drum-arrangement nobody felt to give it a new subgenre. It was just D&B.
So know suddenly grooverider and his jump up followers decided that every track with this drum-arrangement should have a new genre name, because it's something new between dubstep and drum and bass, what in reality is not. Been discussed a thousand times but I just felt to say it again:
There is no drumstep.

i was just waiting for the haters, but i'm guessing most of the haters don't come into a thread titled drumstep!
can't wait for that rawtee release though :)
 
I still say you can't do better than Crackden and Steptoe, but if you're looking for something with a dirty drumstep breakdown/intro that can lead into regular-time DNB just fine, I'm absolutely loving this tune:
