Drum 'n Bass the same as hip-hop only double in speed ?!?

IMO dnb takes influences from ALL music, but it has come along way from its beginings and its just ignorant to say hip hop and dnb are more similar than different.

They are fucking similar, how can you explain two random tunes I picked having identical structure and beats?

And Propane Nightmares is not dnb. At least most people I talk to don't classify it as dnb. Call it emo rock with a raped dnb beat.

Sure there are differences and the more leftfield you go, the greater the differences are but the similarites are huge - allowing easy mixing. How else can you explain this mix -
