Easy all, looking to do a mix teasing Hip Hop tunes when I eventually get a third deck

so hopefully if this thread builds up nicely by that time I'll have one ;)

so yeah i've fallen behind with the old hip hop lately

reccomend some good tuneage! regardless of age!

Dirt off Your Shoulder by Jay will go good with half time stuff

I used to play Witness then mix the intro of Get That Girl by TC to make the transition

    Hope this helps!

You've got to find quite slow hip hop around 80-90bpm to go well with dnb.

Eg, my minimix is all at 180bpm, but I've got tunes from cypress hill, roots manuva, chali 2na, foreign beggars etc.

this may sound like shameless self promotion, but it's relevant to the topic lol

Kanye West had a tune "Flashing Lights" that went alright with half time/techstep stuff.

no idea what hiphop would go well with dnb but immortal technique is my favourite hiphop artist, though i haven't really explored that much of the genre tbf

Bubba Sparx - Ugly goes well with DnB. You just need to find Hip Hop tracks with a BPM around 90.

New hip hop these days is shockingly sh1t..

Eek A Mouse Ganja Smuggling is some chilled out reggae gagging to be put on a drum n bass beat..

Also try some old hip hop like Pharcyde - Passin Me By, Gangstarr - Mass Appeal, Big L - Put It On..

Something tragic happened right around 2004. Hasn't been the same since. Too much like pop music of the 1990s now.
