Multi Genre Drum&bass/Triphop track. It doesn't sound right for some reason..

This is one of my recent projects. It's the best I made so far I guess, but it's still deffinitly not a proffesional production.

So I was hoping if you guys could have a listen and use your knowledge to tell me what's not good about it, that would be cool.

I think the synths could have more presence, give them a bit more low mid end, the switch sounds whack, guess it's just because there's so many offbeat shakers and hats. Somehow the synths are just left in shadow, sounds like some of them don't have enough highs, just keep practicing, better mastering could help too.

It doesn't sound like drum & bass or trip hop for a start.

It just sounds like a poorly quantised mess of random sounds.

use stereo imaging on some of the shorter samples, push them out to the sides

also nothing has any reverb on it so its all sounding a bit square
