Highlights:

•Instramental releasing Timelines.
•Hazard finally dropping some new music (Far Fetched).
•Torana: an EP on Weaponry and a tune on Samurai.
•Kanine: releasing 10+ tunes this year on various labels.
•Roho: 2 tunes out on Samurai this year.

Disappointments:

•VA - Shuriken volume 3 on Shogun Audio. Most pointless release this year.
•1985 Music - not bought a release of theirs this year.
•15 Years of Shogun Audio - generally weak compilation with the odd few stand out tunes, considering Friction has said the label "has found its groove again".
•Monty releasing 2 EP's of very samey music.
•Hyrogliphics - loosing what made his style original.
•Submarine - loosing what made his style original, when he stopped releasing on Demand.
•Critical Music's quality control on what gets pressed to vinyl, by the artists and the label.
•Cylon choosing to stop pressing vinyl after taking over a year and a half to release new music.
•Critical Music not pressing Enei's Sinking EP even though it was one of the most sort after dubs / tunes to I.D this year.

I thought the Perez EP and the Bredren EP were both decent off 1985 this year.
Cant help but agree with you about labels not pressing records but its nothing new sadly.

There's the odd tune on each of those EP's that's my cup of tea, but they both didn't grab me enough to buy them.

And I know that's the way the digital era seems to be going and it is nothing new, but Cylon kept us hanging for more that a year and a half before new music only came out digitally and Critical still release vinyl. Have seen Kasra comment that a vinyl release comes down to the producer as well the label wanting to put it out and how fast (collectively) they want to get the music out there
