Yes there back THE OFFICIAL DRUM AND BASS AWARDS 2008 are back bigger bolder stronger and louder! After the massive success at Air Superclub last year, we will be taking the 2008 awards to the Legendary Q Club Birmingham.

This is a chance for YOU to have your say and pay homage to your FAVOURITES in the drum and bass world whether it be a DJ, MC, Producer, Tune, Event etc.. This is YOUR chance to have YOUR say!

The main event will take place on Saturday 1st March 2008 at the Legendary Q Club Birmingham. We will be bringing the highest calibre of drum and bass talent spread across 3 arenas. You hosts for the evening will be Drum and Bass Superstar GOLDIE, Radio One’s Fabio and Birmingham’s very own MC BIGGIE !

Please note we will be beefing up the existing Q Club sound system as we have teamed up with DSF who will ensure you will not only hear but feel the bass shaking through your body!!

A new security team will be will be employed on this night very polite but also tight, added with over 6 fully staffed and functional bars in operation throughout the evening. Also we will be decorating the club with added visuals, snowbombs, state of the art laser system and lighting with added strobes etc.. As we ensure that this will be not only be an audio but a visual onslaught!

To commemorate this historical event there will be THE OFFICIAL NATIONAL DRUM AND BASS AWARDS 2008 album released on GUT records, 3 CD’s mixed by FRICTION, MICKY FINN and BRYAN G. This will be released on 1ST FEBRUARY 2008 and be available fro HMV, Tower Records, Virgin and all good music stores

I agree, the system is incredibly limited. Best tune only has about ten choices and as Bad Ace said - NO DNBFORUM.COM for best website??!!

And why do I have to vote for every category? Call me ignorant but the only female MC in your list I've heard that recently is Tali... Why are magazines and websites placed together? That's not really fair. It's a far cry from the old Accelerated Culture awards.

Sort it out please. I'm sure you can get a database programmer who can handle handwritten entries, it just takes a little more filtering...

Just had a look to place my vote and I have to agree, dnbforum.com should really be on there, but I guess these awards are a chance for peeps to pat each other on the back rather than to see what the people really think. Also, ive never been to a festival so cant say whether innovation is better than, say, global gathering. I think if people dont know who to vote for on a certain section, then, like me, will feel that they cant vote as it would be an uninformed decision. Just my 2 cents worth...LOL
