Vote here for the first round ending October 24th or something: https://awards.breakbeat.co.uk/2016/round-1/

Let's all vote so that the winners are people who actually deserve it rather than Dimension winning "best newcomer" despite being active for like five years (not to suggest he's bad), or something like Sigma's album winning again. By voting you can challenge the hegemony.

    At this stage I've voted:
    Best Producer: Alix Perez
    Best vocalist: Peta Oneir
Best newcomer producer: Dawn Wall (I just want to know their identity)
Best Festival: Origin NYE (last year's lineup looked amazing and I'm actually going this year and anticipating it to be so)
Best track: Alix Perez - Had I Known...(kinda hoping that if this doesn't get nominated, a track off Emperor's album does. Stuff like Made of Light, Infrasound and Thunder are pretty remarkable tunes)

Best album: Noisia Outer Edges (partially out of sympathy for it being leaked, but also because I can't really vote for Kimyan Law or Frederic Robinson's albums at this stage)
Best remix: Spectrasoul - Glimpse (feat. dBridge) [Ivy Lab Remix]
    Best label: Med School Music
    Best newcomer label: 1985 Music

This is the last chance for these awards to redeem themselves.

If last refuge of a scoundrel doesn't win best album then i won't even bother mocking the awards again in future.

I never saw a point in awards in general, but that's just some philosophical bullshit I stand by...

But, even if the entire UK based dnb crews came together to vote for just one person in best producer category, they would be outnumbered by the Cartoon fans -- a group of people who are otherwise completely disconnected from dnb -- as evidenced last year. This is why there really is no meaning in the actual DNBA awards. A total disconnect.

I expect this thread to go down really well in the next few minutes/hours/days :pat:

    Best producer: dBridge
    Best label: Headz
    Best song: Luv
    Best newcomer: Dauntless
Best remix: Put That Woman First (Calibre Remix) :teeth:
Best album: I voted The Orkyd Project because it's a solid album that I think will get overlooked by Dom's, but if it isn't in there I'll vote for LROAS

Best Producer: Dom & Roland but I am heavily biased atm - perez ran it close
    Best vocalist: DRS
Best newcomer producer: really unsure but went glxy. Also surely dawn wall can't count, that would be like voting for scar in previous years.
    Best Festival: Sun & Bass
Best track: A New Renegade (so close to putting luv though)
Best album: last refuge of a scoundrel
Best remix: jubei - incognito (skeptical remix)
    Best label: Soul:R
    Best newcomer label: 1985 Music

voted Conduct - Borderlands for best album, I'm still in love with it (although maybe I would've voted differently if the voting had been held a month later or so - I couldn't really pick the new LSB, Kimyan Law and Frederic Robinson albums)

I know you´re going to torture me for my choices, but here I go

Best DJ: Andy C (quite obvious he´s going to win this year, this 2015-16 has smashed it in every stage)
Best Producer: Noisia (it´s hard to vote for them, cos their new Outer Edges it´s not completly my style, but clearly this guys are awesome)
    Best MC: Harry Shotta
Best track: So excited - Phace (I still have doubts about that one. The pasts years were sooo clear - 2014 Bricks dont Roll - 2015 Dead Limit - ... this year think is missing a club banger)
    Best festival: Let it Roll
Best label: Blackout (It´s going to win Hospitality, but as a neurofunk guy, blackout it´s clearly my favorite label)
Best newcomer label: Eatbrain (created some time ago, but maybe can be still considered newcomer)
Best video: The Prototypes - Transmission (very impressive video, thousands of pounds invested in it though)

Hopefully the Monstercat kids responsible for that last year have grown up now and haven't been replaced. I agree with most of what you said but voting is only a small bit of effort to possibly get a talented artist some recognition

    >Opening the voting before some of the most anticipated albums of the year have even been released
