    Serious thread!!! Sorry guys

More and more I've started to be increasingly worried about the state my brain is in. I've had a quite large intake of drugs over the years, though I havent taken any for the last 2 years. Though I have become increasingly aware that I cannot remember things that have happened in short time memory, i.e. 24 hours. Plus with the aid of alcohol my mind is completely shot.

Basically I cant remember anything that has happened to me apart from major things in the last 14 years.

Has anyone experienced other things of these circumstances?

yeah I know what you mean. Wouldn't change anything that I've done in the past, but I definitely think Amsterdam took of my brain that I would never get back.

I see what you're saying lads, but do you not think some of this is just getting older? I'm sure a few of you have cained your brains, but, it IS said that as you get old you're always recollecting through a much greater time period than when you were young and just the past year etc. That or you're all vegatables :)

its a possibility, but there is also the possibility it could be lots of other factors.. not everyone who loses their mind has cained the drugs.

drugs can definitely fuck your memory, but my old dear has never touched a drug in her life and her memory is about as piss poor as they come, so i wouldn't worry about it too much

After caining weed and coke for a few years, after i gave it all up, i realised that i had forgotten a hefty chunk of my long term memory.
Like times with my dad and other little things that would be talked about and for the life of me i couldn't remember unless there was a complete description of what happened.

After almost 4 years clean it's slowly all coming back to me though :)
It's pretty obvious that drugs wern't for me.
And it did have an affect of my mind.

Oh, and baaaaaaare paranoia, i even have bad bouts of it now.

This happens to me. It's not terrible, but I constantly forget what I did that day, and I don't remember my childhood too much.

I quit smoking weed due to short-term memory loss and paranoia. I haven't really done many other drugs on a regular basis although I've tried most of them.

I dunno if it's just me choosing not to remember stuff or if it's something that the copious amounts of ganj have done to me

I refuse to blame drugs for the fragile state of my mind, could be many number of things, I like to think i was just born this way.

For me, Alcohol has done just as much, if not more damage to my memory than the drugs i've cained over the years, granted I have felt much more mentally unstable at the height of my Speed/Acid binges.

But if you're just talking memory, Alcohol is a fucking killer.

This is a given if you've taken drugs for more than 10 years.

I always get a good lecture on the fragile state of my short term memory due to drug intake from my missus.
