    What the effect is called on the drums where they sound muffled and subdued, before they kick in. On this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVpcsROZLLs

    Mistabishi - From Memory.

    It's at about 1:50 that it starts, on my version (the 16min version) but I don't know about this youtube one.

    I just really like this effect and want to recreate it. Thanks.

    sounds like a filter and maybe a phaser to.
    there a few ways of gettin that sort of effect.

    Its a low pass filter.

    How do I apply one of those? I hear people talking about them but have no clue.

    I cant watch it at school but a lowpass filter is usually the case.
    a resonance filter aswell sometimes.

    Get a filter and set it to low pass, route the drums through it, set the frequency cut off point and the amount of resonance, maybe automate the two, pretty much it man

    if u are in reason create an envelope controlld filter and BAM it shud be set to LP 12 before u even know it
