yes, a lot. but usually only down to breaks bpm. not really into hip-hop.

im doing that all the time when producing a hiphop beat, speed it up to see if the beat would work at 170 bpm aswell

Im doing it all the time,my production trick is to make bassline at half of normal bpm and beat at 1/4... final tune sounds much better this way,faster with sharper rhythm....

^^ yeah i do that sometimes - make the bassline at a lower bpm then crank it up.
